The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) is honored to host Dr. Nesreen Barwari, Former Minister of Municipalities and Public Works in the Government of Iraq, for a discussion about her recently published memoir, In the Land of a Thousand Springs, and her career. Students and members of the Georgetown community will hear directly from Dr. Nesreen Barwari on her over 30 years of experience across humanitarian, public, and academic sectors, where she devoted her career to promoting conflict management, good governance, and community development in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
